ECTS- points indicate the workload for modules within a course or lecture at TU Berlin and are recognised at many European higher education institutions. The System makes it easy to compare courses in different European universities. Thus, ECTS Points are not grades but important to credit academic performance in case of change of university within Europe. One Credit point is equal to a 25-30-hour workload. Full time students can reach up to 30 credit points per semester and 180 to 240 credit points during a standard study period of 3 or 4 years in a Bachelor's degree program and 60 to 120 credit points in a Master's degree program.
