Application for 1st semester

Please note: It is not possible to apply for first semester of any BA or State examination program in which you already are enrolled.

Applicants with vocational training ("Beruflich Qualifizierte")

Applicants with vocational training ("Beruflich Qualifizierte") submit their application form directly to TU Berlin and are not obliged to create an account at Hochschulstart. Applicants for an undergraduate program with teaching option

Applicants for an undergraduate program with teaching option apply only for major subject via Hochschulstart. You may state your desired minor subject after you have passed the admission process. We will provide you with further information in your letter of acceptance.

Application guide

1. Create an account at "Hochschulstart".

You will get two different application-IDs (BID and BAN), which you will need for the application process. This step is of course not necessary if you already have been created an acoount ever.

2. Submit your application online at "Hochschulstart".

You do not have to print out anything. Your application will be transmitted to TU Berlin automatically.

Please note: if you want to submit a special case request (cases which fall outside of TU Berlin regulations) or apply for a second degree at TU Berlin you have to submit the related requests and supporting documents not later than the published deadline for undergraduate admission at TU Berlin directly.

Check your status on a regualar basis an note the phases and dates.

3. Admission

If you passed the admission process, "Hochschulstart" will provide you with enrollment information: you will get a letter of acceptance in case you received a place of study. Next step is enrollment, for which you need the letter of acceptance. For further instruction about the enrollment see the letter.

Please mind that you are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of your enrollment prior to enrollment deadlines.
