If you intend to continue studying you will need to re-registrate for the upcoming semester by paying the announced fees (see below) within the re-registration period.

Please make sure that you arrange your re-registration on time. Otherwise you will not be able to continue your studies.

Notification for re-registration

We will give due notice to your personal TU Berlin email account, informing you that re-registration is open. Please check your personal TU Portal ("Mein Profil" >> "Rückmeldeinformation") for more information about fees and additional documents which you might need to submit for your re-registration.

How to check my re-registration status?

Please LogIn into your personal TU Portal and go to "Mein Profil" >> "Rückmeldeinformation". After successful re-registration, you will get access to your updated confirmation of enrollment and receive the Semesterticket label via mail.

Deadline for re-registration

Deadline for winter semester 2017/2018: July 24 2017

To avoid any late fees make sure to re-registrate until deadline at the latest. The total fees (composition of different amounts see below) must be covered by payment in full. Please make sure that the full payable amount is correct. Perhaps we also demand futher documents for your re-registration (e.g. proof of German compulsory health insurance). Plaese submit these documents until the above mentioned deadline as well.

If your payment in full failed to reach the TU account by the deadline, you will be charged a late fee (amount see below).

What happens when I miss the deadline?

There is a respite until 31th of March (Summer semester) or 30th of September (Winter semester). If the fees are paid after deadline but until 31th of March / 30th September the late fee will be levied. If you still do not pay then TU Berlin will cancel your enrollment ex officio. You will receive the letter about the termination of your enrollment by post. Your tubIT account will be deactivated 6 months after the termination of your enrollment.

The late fee does not apply for doctoral program students.

If your are studying at two universities in parallel

Students who are enrolled at another university in parallel, must submit a confirmation of enrollment from these University ("Studienbescheinigung") along their re-registration (including: program/subject, full study semester) until October 01 (winter semester) or April 01 (summer semester). You do not have to pay a late fee at TU Berlin.

  • As a bachelor's student you have to submit the confirmation of enrollment in hard copy. Note the associated student registration number/student's ID legibly on the back.
  • As a master's student you can submit the confirmation of enrollment online.
